About the event

Sloss and the Wallace Center for Arts and Reconciliation invite you to an artist talk about the Transformative Power of Art. Visual artists Tony Bingham and Elizabeth M. Webb along with poet Salaam Green will be in conversation about their work with the Wallace Center. Located on the site of a former plantation in Harpersville, Al, the Wallace Center works to cultivate racial healing and repair through community dialogue and reparative interpretation of the place's history and people. Site specific installations, performances and exhibits are a centerpiece of this work.

Join us for an artist talk at Sloss Furnaces on Thursday, February 22nd from 5:30-7:30PM

This event is free and open to the public! RSVP's are encouraged, but not required. 

Visit the Wallace House Saturday, February 24th from 2:00-4:00PM for the the dedication of With Love, For Grief, the community columns sculpture by Elizabeth M. Webb, Salaam Green and the descendant community.
