About the event
Learn to dance between fire, hammer and anvil using basic blacksmithing tools. The workshop will introduce you to the basic processes involved in working a forge and blacksmithing while creating your choice of a hook or hairpin. Tools, equipment, and supplies are provided in this workshop, perfect for beginners to get a taste of forging!
This workshop is for all skill levels, no experience necessary.
This workshop is available for participants ages 16+ with a parent or legal guardian available to sign a waiver prior to or at the start of the workshop. Please contact us for information regarding younger participants.
Safety Policy:
Please come prepared to get a little dirty work with hot materials! This means closed toed shoes, preferably leather boots, pants, and mostly natural fiber clothing (no leggings or highly synthetic materials). If you have questions regarding appropriate clothing, please contact us.
We will provide you with safety glasses, jackets, gloves, and all special PPE needed for the workshop or class. When you arrive, you will need to sign a waiver in order to participate.
If you are unable to participate in the workshop due safety concerns, you may be refunded 50% or rescheduled for another workshop.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations are eligible for a full refund until 3 days from the event. Cancellations made within 3 days of the event will be refunded 50% of the cost. No shows without prior notice are not eligible for refunds.
