  • Guided Tours: Guided tours of the historic site will depart every 30 minutes for groups of up to 40 people.

  • Entertainment and Refreshments: The event will feature DJ Dro and a cash bar. Local treats will be available from Alabama Peanut Co. and Bud's Best Cookies.

This event is FREE and open to the public, but you must RSVP to attend!

ENTRY: Parking & event entry will be through the field gate, located directly across the street from 2nd Ave N.

The lighting project was made possible by generous contributions from a corporate donor, and Cathy and Paul Jones.

The designer and project manager was Mike White with Bianco LLC, based in Birmingham. The electrician was LC Gibson with Gibson Electrical LLC, also based in Birmingham. We also received valuable in-kind assistance from the City of Birmingham, CraneWorks, Iron City Power Washing, and installation guidance from Summit Electrical Construction and Pylon Building Group. Project oversight was provided by Ralph Carp, a Sloss Furnaces Board Member.
